Comparing the three pricing models
How you pay determines what you own.
Labor Cost (Manual)
You pay with your own time or by hiring a VA hourly.
- Never gets cheaper
- Capped by human speed
- Linear cost increase
Rental Cost (SaaS)
You pay for a monthly subscription to access a platform.
- Rent never ends
- Lose access if you cancel
- Logic is a black box
Asset Cost (Owned)
You pay once to install a system in your own accounts.
- Total ownership
- Logic is visible to you
- Price per listing drops to ~0
What makes up the cost of ownership?
To be fully transparent, an "owned" system still has minor third-party tool costs. Here is exactly what they are.
The Automation System
The logic, blueprint, and setup guide that runs your production line.
Make.com Plan
The engine that executes the tasks. Required for all automated shops.
Google Workspace
Where your data (Sheets), forms, and files (Drive) are stored safely.
AI & Processing
Third-party API credits for AI text or image generation.
What about maintenance costs?
Platforms like Etsy change their rules. When that happens, we provide optional updates for our community members.
"Crucially: If you stop paying for updates, your installed system does NOT stop working."
This is the core difference between ownership and rental. You keep what you buy, forever.
The "Payback" Period
When does it pay for itself?
If you save 30 minutes per listing (conservative) and value your time at $20/hr, every listing returns $10 in recovered time value.
- 20 listings = $200 saved (DIY Paid)
- 35 listings = $350 saved (DFY Paid)
"Beyond the payback point, every hour saved is pure business leverage."
Cost & Value FAQ
Is there a setup fee?
The one-time purchase price includes the system. If you choose 'Done-For-You', the setup fee is included in the $299 price.
Do I have to pay for Make.com?
Yes. Every automation system requires an execution engine. We use Make.com because it is the most flexible and reliable choice for Etsy sellers.
What if I have multiple Etsy shops?
You can connect multiple shops. Additional setups or shop-specific mappings may incur additional costs if we are doing the installation for you.
"Transparent pricing is part of our policy. If you have questions about specific costs for your shop niche, we invite you to message us directly."
